Portland Streetcar has installed etched glass panels in selected streetcar shelters:

The following two shelter designs are installed in each of the new Loop stops on the east side of the river.

Lloyd District

Design for Lloyd District Shelters

The imagery etched into the glass of the Streetcar shelters in the Lloyd District includes a view across the Lloyd District to Mt. St. Helens with the Convention Center in the foreground and an abstracted aerial view of the Willamette River, Downtown, the Central Eastside, and the Lloyd District. Large roses evoke the Rose Quarter.

Central Eastside

Design for Central Eastside Shelters

The imagery etched into the glass of the Streetcar shelters in the Central Eastside includes an abstracted representation of the 1890s Barber Block building in the heart of the District and aerial view of the Willamette River, Downtown, the Central Eastside and the Lloyd District. Lare cabbages evoke the produce markets prevalent in the area since the 1860s.
