Portland Streetcar Sponsorship & Ridership Benefits Program
Portland Streetcar’s Sponsorship and Ridership Benefits program began in July of 2001. This program is designed to provide an opportunity for Streetcar constituents to participate in a sponsorship program to promote their businesses, build ridership and to generate additional non-fare financial support for the operational requirements of the Portland Streetcar system. The sponsorship program includes opportunities to sponsor a streetcar, a platform stop location, glass etching at the platform stop, “Big Belly” solar trash compactor, “Off the Rails” brochure, Streetcar cab signage and other miscellaneous sponsorships. These sponsorships are offered to a variety of both public and private persons and entities.
- Sponsorship of a streetcar includes a company logo on each side of your sponsored car, inside signage exposure, audio announcements on the streetcar, one free company ride per year and a sponsor link on the streetcar web site.
- Sponsorship of the streetcar platform stop includes name on each end of the shelter, signage at the stop location, audio announcement and sponsor link on streetcar web site.
- All sponsor signage must include an environmental, city or community building, educational or transit-related message with a heading stating, “This platform stop location or streetcar is sponsored by (name of sponsor)”.
- All elements of Sponsor identification (including logo placement, publicity materials, design, wording, and/or appearance) is subject to Sponsor’s review and approval as well as that of Portland Streetcar, Inc.. All sponsorship costs and benefits are subject to change and/or modification by PSI.
All Sponsors agree to non-discrimination and commits they are not (and shall not become during the term of the Agreement) an entity restricting its membership or rights of participation in its activities and/or access to its facilities based on race, religion, color, sex, marital status, familial status, national origin, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or source of income. Any business or organization that is not legally open to, or may not legally sell its products or provide its services to citizens of all ages is not eligible to be a sponsor of Portland Streetcar.
